Sano MSc Project

Your health path in your pocket

Give us a chance to meet you

Development of a data visualization app to provide evidence on disease paths. This app would consume stratification models generated from population quantitative tabular clinical data. The stratification models will be generated by a machine learning classifier and pushed to the app in the form of an adjacency matrix and node attributes. The data pushed will represent a knowledge graph binary classification of healthy vs sick.  It aims facilitate the access to evidence-based information. It will enable the individual to submit information about their current state of health, allowing for an understanding of its path in relation to a binary process of healthy versus sick stratification.

Goal:

  • Development of an Android/IOS APP capable to ingest knowledge graphs as source of information and visualise them in a form of useful information to the user.
  • Allow for the collection of individual data.
  • Allow for the consumption of Docker API’s.

Technology:

  • It should allow for a portable deployment between IOS and Android.
  • It should adopt NoSQL databases such a MongoDB or Neo4J.
  • Could use Xamarin C#, or Kotlin.
  • JavaScript for knowledge graphs visualization.

This research project is meant to be completed by a group of up to 3 students.

Objectives: The project aims to identify the differences in functional connectivity of human brain, in case of brain stroke. An already available dataset of human brain fMRI will be used to conduct the experiment As opposed to the traditional whole-brain comparisons, it will be important to report the effect of location and the size of the stroke on the connectivity differences.

Requirements: Basic understanding of coding (preferably in python), 3D/4D image and signal processing, network theory, statistics, and interest in the relevant topic.a
