Sano Centre for Computational Medicine is a new International Scientific Foundation located in Kraków, Poland.

As a cross-disciplinary institution, Sano uses machine learning/artificial intelligence (ML/AI), large scale computer simulations, data science, and other computational technologies towards overcoming global challenges in healthcare systems. The research agenda will be executed in close collaboration with Partners in Poland, EU and USA.

Payroll Specialist will be responsible for all activities connected with processing payroll and maintaining the employee database regarding salary and pay. The responsibilities will include performing necessary calculations, controlling activities, making and processing payments, acting as a contact point for employees regarding payroll.

You will be responsible for:

Processing all payroll activities for employees and contractors regarding, hiring, working and layoffs, preparing ZUS and tax declarations, dealing with PPK etc.;
Maintaining personnel database regarding salaries, performing all personnel administration services and all related data entry to the ‘Płatnik’ system;
Cooperation with external institutions regarding payroll activities (ZUS, US, PPK, GUS, PFRON, etc.);
Collaborating with all staff (HR, Finance, IT, Board), addressing and resolving employee reports;
Preparing and processing all employee contracts, keeping record of vacations, sick leaves etc.;
Making sure of correctness of all data and communication.

We require the following:

Degree in accounting, finance, economy or related field;
At least a few years of sound experience in payroll calculations of all types of agreements;
Well-established knowledge of personnel administrations related topics;
At least a good command of written and spoken English (Sano hires foreigners);
Very good knowledge and understanding of all legislations directly linked with payroll/taxation;
Experience in hiring foreigners is very welcome.
