How will computational medicine transform our lives?

One of many problems of healthcare systems around the world is the apparent scarcity of resources. The lack of efficiency of healthcare delivery could be the culprit of such an appearance. During the speech, professor Sitek will introduce the issue of computational medicine and explain how, together with “big-data”, it will increase the efficiency and the precision of healthcare delivery solving many challenges (including low efficiency). 


Arkadiusz Sitek, 
Director of Sano, Team Leader of Health Informatics Research Group – Also serves as the head of the healthcare informatics research team. Previously employed at IBM and Philips Research in Cambridge. In 2006-2015, assistant professor at Harvard Medical School, and a medical physicist at the Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospitals. In years 2001-2006 scientist in Lawrence Berkeley Labs in Berkeley and Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston. His professional interests are focused on the use of computing in medicine. He specializes in the application of statistical methods in healthcare, medical data visualization, medical physics, and machine learning.
