Cancer, diseases of the brain and cardiovascular system are the most serious challenges faced by modern medicine. These so-called civilization diseases did not disappear during the COVID-19 pandemic, they also do not have a lockdown, they still pose a serious threat to the health and life of millions of people around the world. Scientists from several specialized research centers in Poland – International Research Agendas – are getting closer to finding ways to more effectively diagnose and treat civilization diseases.
